This Notified Area Council was constituted on the 17th
\nApril, 1972 Government in Housing & Urban Development Department
\nNotification No.18664\/HUD., Dated.17.04.1972. The area of the Local
\nBody is 8.94 Square Kilometers (3.45 Square Miles). The population
\naccording to 1971 Census was 6152. In 2001 Census the Population was
\n14263 and in 2011 Census the Population was 17623. It has been divided
\ninto 16 Wards. This NAC is an ancient Town very famous for its Historical
\nimportance tracing from Pre-Christian era for the Historical Saga, still
\nalive in the minds of the People known as World Famous Kalinga War
\nbetween Emperor Ashok and Odia Paika from Pipli on the Bank of Daya
\nRiver which now disseminates peace among the People all over the World.
\nThe NAC is also renowned for its World famous Applique Work.
\nThe local body derives its income from Pipli Hat, Daily Market,
\nMarket Complex (Rent), Parking Fees, Hold ..

\nLevel for the Year 2008-09, 2013-14 & 2014-15 from the Hon\u2019ble Chief
\nMinister on the \u201cLocal Self Government Day\u201d and Best Performance
\nAward to Pipli NAC for the Year 2015-16 with Twenty Five Lakh & Fifty
\nLakh Cash Prize by the Hon\u2019ble Chief Minister & Hon\u2019ble Minister of
