Collectorate
The Nabarangpur Collectorate in Odisha, India, is responsible for the district’s revenue section. The district magistrate and collector has authority over the revenue section, with assistance from the additional district magistrate, sub collector, and deputy collector. The collectorate has been functioning since the district’s inception in 1992.
The sub collectorate in Nabarangpur deals with revenue cases, including:
- Forest settlement cases under the Forest Rights Act and Regulation 2/56
- OLR cases
- Preventive sections of Cr. P. Cs cases
- Cases under the Preventive Sections of Cr. P. Cs in the court of the Executive Magistrate
- Certificate cases under OPDR Cases of Government dues, banks, and government-sponsored institutions
- Registering electors who turn 18 in the current year
The sub collectorate also has three courts, including the Court of the Sub Collector and Sub Divisional Magistrate.
